SPECIAL BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM

2003----New Light Apostolic Mission, Lemoore, California was the place to be. Assistant District Elder Marcell Thomas and members welcomed the New Year praising and thanking God for what he has done and what he is going to do. Joined in the service were visiting churches, Hanford, Corcoran, Tulare, and Lemoore. The songs, testimonies, prayer and encouraging words of God's Word was received with sincerity and hope for the New Year. Sis. Mary Jones touched our souls singing I'll Take Jesus For Mine. The response was electrifying and brought many to their feet, praising God. We were reminded by the song, Jesus A Wonderful Child; led by Sis. Eva Boyd at the piano of Golden Harvest. She requested copies of the song be given to the congregation for their participation. The song reminds us that Jesus is the *Reason for the Season. The different Ministers affirmed that we must rededicate our selves to the Lord, making sure that our Resolutions should be to draw nearer to God and each other in love. Pastor, Elder James Jones of Last Days Ministries, express the importance of having Stubborn Faith (a message which the Lord has given him). The importance of Stubborn Faith is to prove our acceptance of God's Stubborn Love For Us. God didn't stop loving us in the mist of all our deficiencies, horror and disgust. Min. English of New Light, being in the Military for 13 years, thanked God for speaking to him as he sat one night in the club drinking . The voice of the Lord wouldn't leave him alone, because of *Gods Stubborn Love for him. Min. English realized he had to make a change and thanks God he is free of his alcohol drink and is now *ministering God's Love to others. Min. Perryman of Last Days, asked the question "How long are you going to suffer, you've got to give, give up to God." Min. Martinez of Church of Light, charged out saying "You Ought To Praise The Lord! trouble on every side but, You Ought To Praise The Lord!" Min. Mike of Golden Harvest, reminded us, "You Must Stand On The Promises Of God" Sis. Russell of Church of Light, encouraged us to "Be partakers of the truth, and the only way we can help other is to love one another." First Lady, Sis. Gamble of Tulare,( in the absent of Elder Charles Gamble) just thanked God For Being In The Number, her electrifying voice just sparked the fire more. Sis. Gatson of New Light, ask the Lord once "Why Me? Why Not Me?" But, "I have a mind to go all the way, and I'm thankful for not having a quitting spirit." I say to all, "Don't allow no one to take your *joy." Sis. Karen, of Last Days, "revealed to us that she at one time was a Stubborn One," told by her present pastor, and her reply was "He Is Stubborn Too;" "But one day she went to a church dressed in an old skirt and top, old shoes but now I've got new clothes, new shoes and a new soul, thank God for the Stubborn Love of my present Pastor, Elder James Jones, now I am stubborn for Jesus." Our Own Suffragan Bishop Joshua L. Cotton of Golden Harvest singing, "I'm Free, Praise The Lord I'm Free, No More Doubt, No More Chains Holding Me, My Soul Is Resting, It's Just A Blessing, Praise The Lord, Hallelujah** I'm Free,"admonished us "to be faithful, walk with God, take the Stubbornness of faith and walk with God." Pastor, Elder Marcell Thomas of New Light and Assistant District Elder of District 8 thanked all for coming, as we greeted each other in love and with *Much Joy. The Ministers joined their hands together, raising them toward the heavens showing us they *Stand Together. My heart is touched now as I vision the sight, and tears are beginning to fill my eyes as I remember the togetherness emitted to each other during this Great Service. Oh Thank You Jesus**

******Words Of Wisdom From The Best******
What does God require of thee?
How Long! How Long! How Long?
Who are you serving?
Is it for the Lord's sake?
Are you coming to church because it is a sacrifice?
You can't serve God and Man!
You can't do what you want to do for yourself, and then want God to do something for you!
Do not over come evil with good.
Some of us do things, and if we don't get praise we quit!
There is nothing, nothing of God's that is going down because you quit!!
We are only passing through here.
Don't get caught up on these things in the world
Every child of God is of a different order.
We have a tendency to blame somebody else for our wrong.
Some of us don't have a repenting spirit!
We come to God telling him, what we haven't done.
Say "Lord I'm guilty; say you're guilty!
The book will be open.
Your life will be judged by what you have done
Shape up! Trim up! So you can be Caught up!!
Only what you do for God will stand.
Don't let society put you down.
Thank God and enjoy life.
Give yourself a Pep talk!
Encourage yourself.
The way to do this is use the Greatest Book in the world, The Bible.
Take the best of what you have, or what you are, and make it great.
Don't keep beating yourself up.
Everyone must have their own experiences.
Remember anger dwells in the bosom of a fool.
Never put a question mark where God put a period.
If you have foolish thoughts the worst you can do is give a person a piece of your mind.
The more you think about a problem, the worst it will get.
What ever is in your heart will come out.
When you say you can't make it, you are sowing negative seeds and you will get a crop.
Don't think! Don't ask questions! Do whatever God tells you!
The more you try to do the will of the Lord, the devil will attack; because he is losing ground.
Shout now! You've already won.
Let the weak say "I am strong."
No matter how the devil Huff and Puff, he can't blow you down!!
Ask and you shall receive, not reason out the situation.
If God says do something, do it and get rid of the reason you feel you can't.
It's not by power or might but by my word, and not by your reasoning.
You're the Kings Kid.**
Put some *Pepper in your step!!
Sometimes you will have to cry, but get rid of the reason why? Smile no matter what and stop asking God why??
Be likable, and if someone doesn't like you; tell them they are missing a likeable person.
When you are down and out turn to God; he is our refuge and strength.
Get off the avenue of self pity, and don't have a pity party!
The Bible did not say 'Blessed are the poor, dumb and ignorant! No, it said "Blessed are the poor in spirit".
Don't you know you have royal blood, set your priorities in order.
See ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these thing shall be added!!
A baby learned to walk, by getting up, falling, but trying again!!
You can't go down looking up!
Satan may have backed you up against the wall, but all God wants you to do is keep the faith and no matter how the devil rage, Keep Cool!
Every one has a cross to bear; Everyone has tribulations, God selects them?

******WALK WITH GOD******

IF WE WALK WITH GOD IN THE SUNSHINE,
HE WILL WALK WITH US IN THE SHADOW!
IF WE WALK WITH GOD WHEN WE ARE BURDENED,
HE WILL WALK WITH US 'TILL WE ARE LIFTED!
IF WE WALK WITH GOD WITH SINCERITY,
HE WILL WALK WITH US THROUGH ETERNITY!
IF WE WALK WITH GOD AND KEEP ON WALKING,
HE WILL WALK WITH US ON TO GLORY

District Elder Houston Chrenshaw, during our first Fellowship Meeting at New Light Mission Apostolic Church, Pastor. Asst. Dist. Eld. Marcell Thomas; instructed us that it is time to serve the Lord, he has decided to make Jesus his choice,. We should be thankful for being Baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. Jesus wants us looking good, and if something is wrong, "say it's wrong". I'm going on; "How about you?
